There's a new spritz on the block (yes, it's just as cute!)

There's a new spritz on the block (yes, it's just as cute!)

We have some exciting news: dropping mid-June 2026, your favourite Piercing Spritz is getting an upgrade! Same iconic little can, same 0.9% sodium chloride formula, same portion-controlled spritz moment you know and love. But this time, we've made a change in the mechanism that we genuinely couldn't be more excited about.

We're switching from a single spray pump to a bag-on-valve mechanism. Here's why that matters for your healing piercing:

Why the change?

When it comes to aftercare, we're always asking ourselves 'is this the safest it can possibly be?' and after a deep dive into how our spritz is delivered to your skin, the answer was clear. The bag-on-valve format offers something the classic pump (single spray) simply can't: guaranteed sterility from the very first spritz to the very last drop.

Hold up, is this just an aerosol can? Noooo!

"Pressurised can" sounds like hairspray energy, and that's not exactly the vibe for something going near your healing piercing. But the bag-on-valve system is genuinely different and actually quite clever!

Here's the difference:

TRADITIONAL AEROSOL: mixes the product and the propellant together in one chamber. When you spray, both come out together. Think dry shampoo, deodorant, that kind of thing. The propellant is literally part of the formula.

BAG ON VALVE: uses the same pressurised can format, but with one crucial difference: the saline solution sits inside a sealed inner bag suspended inside the can. The propellant (in our case, compressed air or nitrogen) lives outside the bag, between the bag and the can wall. When you press the lever, the propellant gently squeezes the bag from the outside, pushing the saline out through the nozzle.

The propellant never touches the solution. Ever.

This means what reaches your piercing is pure, uncontaminated saline and nothing else.

So, what makes the new Piercing Spritz safer?

With a standard pump spray, every time you press the nozzle, a small amount of air gets drawn back into the bottle. Over repeated uses, that's repeated opportunities for contamination, especially in a preservative-free formula like ours.

With the bag-on-valve system, the inner bag collapses as it empties. No air ever re-enters, meaning there's no contamination risk. The solution stays sterile right through to the last use. For a preservative-free saline spritz (which is exactly what healing piercings need), this upgrade truly makes sense.

The Spritz moment you know and love is still intact!

We know the portion-controlled spritz is a big part of why you love this product. Good news: that's not going anywhere.

The new can features a pressure-sensitive lever, meaning a gentle 1 - 2 second press gives you that perfectly measured, fine mist application. Chic & mess-free, just as it should be. It's also still completely travel-friendly, so it'll be making the trip with you wherever you go.

What's staying the same?

Just to be crystal clear on what's not changing:

0.9% SODIUM CHLORIDE the same trusted formula
ICONIC LITTLE CAN
PRESERVATIVE-FREE nothing but pure sterile saline
PORTION-CONTROLLED SPRITZ
TRAVEL FRIENDLY

The only thing that's new is the peace of mind.

Yay! When can I get it?

The new Piercing Spritz will be in stock mid-June 2026. We'll be shouting about it across our socials when it lands, so make sure you're following along on Instagram you don't miss it - @piercerbyproxy

As always, thank you for trusting us with your healing. We don't take that lightly, which is exactly why the Spritz is getting the well-deserved glow-up.

With sparkle & sterility 💜 xx
